A "quilted" Hello
My sister, who lives in Springfield, Mo loves to quilt. I found this darling chennile flower and knew right away what I would do with it. I made a patchwork design, cut it out with the Big Note die, ran it through the polka dot folder and voila. Even though Springfield is only a few hours away, our busy schedules keep us from seeing each other as often as we'd like. A special card for you Diana.

Congratulations Baby Card
I totally cased this card from Wendy Hawkinson. But it's sooooo cute I couldn't resist. SU's Blush Blossom marker is perfect for coloring in baby's face. And don't you love how paper, card stock, ink, markers and ribbon all coordinate to make it easy and fast to put together a card that ANY new mother would love. This is for you Tanya!

Playing with Retired Papers
I've been pulling out a lot of retired papers and playing around using the scraps. Even though this is holiday paper, look how nice it is as a summer card. I stamped on the ribbon and sent it to my sister and her husband.

A' La Card
This is my version of the a' la card from the August issue of Stampin' Success. I'm not really a person who likes a lot of distressing so this is the best I can do. I actually like how it turned out. Simple, but nice. My upline is encouraging us to try out the card templates so we're preparing a card at our monthly meeting.

My Visual Story Reminder
This is "my why" and "my story" that I put together for the Recruit Crew Challenge. I used Elegant Eggplant dsp as my background and then printed the text on Pretty in Pink. I've always loved the stamp set, A Rose is a Rose, so I layered several together and used 2 colors of green for the leaves. I plan on hanging it in my stamp room to keep me focused on my goals.

"My Why"
I have been invited by Stampin' Up! to join their Recruit Crew challenge. It's just getting started but one of the projects we had to complete was write down why we chose to join Recruit Crew. So, here's my why.....
I joined Recruit Crew because I have a mountain of stress and negativity around me. I am a positive person and feel this is a challenging opportunity to rise above the pressures of life and fulfill my SU goals.

Love You
Wow! Pink and Hearts. Who could ask for more? This is the card I designed for our design team card swap. Very easy but so pretty. Pretty in Pink cardstock, top note die, itty bitty bits stamp set and short and sweet stamp set. Our Demolina group is so much fun. We're going to hold a card and scrapbook event in October. More details later. So, visit again to learn about all the fun that we're planning.

Button Birds
Isn't this just the cutest!!! I stamped the bird from the Sweetheart set with Staz On black ink. Then used buttons for the body. Then stamp the bird again on matching cardstock, cut out the wing and attach it with glue dots. Now, I've never seen a pink bird but wouldn't that be a great find. Have a happy pink day!!!

Awash with Flowers
Last week Diane's Demolina's group met at my house for our monthly swap and gab session. We were to design one card using Awash with Flowers. This is what I came up with. I used SU's wood sheets and ran it through the Big Shot. I stamped with black Staz On and then colored in the design with SU markers, blending as I went. I was very happy with how it turned out. This technique has probably been done before but it's new to me. Thanks for stopping by.

Congratulations Card
Hi, Here's a card that I made for several special occasions. It's the Shades of Spring designer paper and Well Scripted stamp set. I originally made this card for Jennier, my granddaughter, who has now graduated from basic training in the Air Force and has gone onto studying Russian for 2 years at the Defense Language Institute in Montery, California. I liked the card so much that I also used it for an anniversary card for 2 different couples that we've known for a long time. Thanks for looking and come back again soon.
