A "quilted" Hello

My sister, who lives in Springfield, Mo loves to quilt.  I found this darling chennile Photobucketflower and knew right away what I would do with it.  I made a patchwork design, cut it out with the Big Note die, ran it through the polka dot folder and voila.  Even though Springfield is only a few hours away, our busy schedules keep us from seeing each other as often as we'd like.  A special card for you Diana.

Congratulations Baby Card

I totally cased this card from Wendy Hawkinson.  But it's sooooo cute I couldn't resist.  SU's Blush Blossom marker is perfect for coloring in baby's face.  And don't you love how paper, card stock, ink, markers and ribbon all coordinate to make it easy and fast to put together a card that ANY new mother would love.  This is for you Tanya!

Playing with Retired Papers

Photobucket
I've been pulling out a lot of retired papers and playing around using the scraps.  Even though this is holiday paper, look how nice it is as a summer card.  I stamped on the ribbon and sent it to my sister and her husband.

A' La Card

PhotobucketThis is my version of the a' la card from the August issue of Stampin' Success.  I'm not really a person who likes a lot of distressing so this is the best I can do.  I actually like how it turned out.  Simple, but nice.  My upline is encouraging us to try out the card templates so we're preparing a card at our monthly meeting.

My Visual Story Reminder

This is "my why" and "my story" that I put together for the Recruit Crew Challenge.  I used Elegant Eggplant dsp as my background and then printed the text on Pretty in Pink.  I've always loved the stamp set, A Rose is a Rose, so I layered several together and used 2 colors of green for the leaves.  I plan on hanging it in my stamp room to keep me focused on my goals.
