Wedding Wishes

PhotobucketI had a really good friend get married Saturday.  Here's the card I made.  I've seen several like it but came up with my own version.  Since it's all done with the Big Shot, it's fast and easy. Congratulations Jennifer!

Button Birds

PhotobucketIsn't this just the cutest!!!  I stamped the bird from the Sweetheart set with Staz On black ink.  Then used buttons for the body.  Then stamp the bird again on matching cardstock, cut out the wing and attach it with glue dots.  Now, I've never seen a pink bird but wouldn't that be a great find.  Have a happy pink day!!!

Awash with Flowers

Last week Diane's Demolina's group met at my house for our monthly swap and gab session.  We were to design one card using Awash with Flowers.  This is what I came up with.  I used SU's wood sheets and ran it through the Big Shot.  I stamped with black Staz On and then colored in the design with SU markers, blending as I went.  I was very happy with how it turned out.  This technique has probably been done before but it's new to me.  Thanks for stopping by.

Congratulations Card

PhotobucketHi, Here's a card that I made for several special occasions.  It's the Shades of Spring designer paper and Well Scripted stamp set.  I originally made this card for Jennier, my granddaughter, who has now graduated from basic training in the Air Force and has gone onto studying Russian for 2 years at the Defense Language Institute in Montery, California.  I liked the card so much that I also used it for an anniversary card for 2 different couples that we've known for a long time.  Thanks for looking and come back again soon.

Cards for Jennifer

PhotobucketMy granddaughter, Jennifer, left last week for Basic Military Training in San Antonio, Texas.  She'll be there for 8 1/2 weeks.  I've been really focused lately on missing her and wondering how she's doing.  We have a special connection and I've been wanting her to know that I'm thinking of her.  So, I decided to make cards, LOTS OF CARDS, to send to her every day.  Here are some samples of my creations for her.  I hope they lift her spirits in what I know is an intense and changing time in her life.  I love you Jen!!!

Cocoa & Marshmallows

I had fun today all by myself working away in my craft room.  The chef from SU's Voila' stamp set is on the cover of this card.  It took me 3 tries but I finally came up with a design I liked.  I pieced the coat, pants and hat for the chef.  I outlined the whole image with my black marker.  I knew I wanted to use mini marshmallows to put in the Sweet Treat Cup.  How cute is that!  I used Crushed Curry and Riding Hood Red cardstock.  The saying is from a retired set called, Yummy for the Tummy.  On the inside I attached a decadent package of cocoa mix with red sticky tape at the top.  I would love to send this card to anyone who needs a special pick-me-up.  How about you!!!!
